Tristan's Two Photoshoot!

My friend Stephanie wanted to do a "Tristan's Two!" photoshoot....I was up for the challenge...and a challenge it was. He was running, laughing, running some more, then he was tired so it was time to go home :( But I had as much as or more fun than he did I think....lol.
Here's my favourite pose from the shoot that I've incorparated into some of my new products.
It's a 5x7 greeting card...in this case a birthday card. This could also be a "baby boy" announcement card (available in 4x6).
Pretty cute eh?
Scroll down for the full slideshow of the photoshoot. Enjoy!

Tonya Maternity

I had so much fun doing Tonya's maternity photos...mostly because Cliff was the most cooperative 'daddy' I've ever had :) He didn't complain, he did whatever poses I asked and was so helpful to Tonya when I made her sit in low places that she couldn't get up out of, on her own...he he. Sorry but it was worth it.
Here's a few of my favourites, please scroll further down for a full slideshow.

Thanks again....can't wait to take photos of your little one when he or she arives.

More Wedding Photos

I'm still processing photos from Bobbi Ann's & Geremy's wedding and wanted to show you these as well....just because I like them.
Told you Bobbi Ann was beautiful :)
The rings....
I love how Geremy is laughing in this one. There are so many photos of them laughing, just shows how happy they are.
And the kids dancing...how cute is that!?!?

Bobbi Ann & Geremy's Wedding

Finally...a SNEAK PEEK....of Bobbi Ann's & Geremy's wedding. I had such a great time despite my rookie jitters. The bride was beautiful (understatement!!) and the groom as handsome as ever. I was so impressed by the bridal party, the bridesmaids who were there to help the bride make "HER" day as perfect as possible. And the groomsmen who were funny & goofy yet knew when to be serious in support of their friend. I laughed, I wanted to cry but held myself together, and thoroughly enjoyed the day.
Thanks to Holly of "Hark Photography" who was my 2nd shooter for the day & took these couple of snaps of me, hard at work :)
Don't forget to head over to her site for her sneak peek that should be up soon as well!
And to get you started....a photo of the bride & groom. Scroll down for the slideshow.

Feature: Hark Photography

Today I would like to introduce you to Hark Photography Link is - http://harkphotography.wordpress.com/

Holly - the creative mind behind Hark Photography is starting out in the business like myself. It's even safe to say we're our own little photography network :) Since (1) we don't know any other photographers in our region (2) most photographers are based out of the greater Toronto area it seems (3) if we don't help each other, then who will?
My theory is "what goes around comes around" If I support Holly and vice versa, good things will happen for both of us in our careers. Rather than the competitive-ness that some other photographers like to do.
I'm introducing her blog today in light of the wedding that I've been hired to do this coming Saturday. I've hired Holly as my 2nd shooter because (a) she's good and (b) I don't want to miss anything for my client.

Please check out her blog & her work then email or call her up and book a session!

Today's quote:
“You need to be aware of what others are doing, applaud their efforts, acknowledge their successes, and encourage them in their pursuits. When we all help one another, everybody wins.” - Jim Stovall

Opinions PLEASE!

Hello...it's been a while. But do not dispair, I have a few things coming up so there'll be new posts & photos.
I do have a few questions though that I would LOVE your feedback....as previously mentioned Cyball Photography is going to under-go some changes, but I'm completely stumped as to what to do about one thing in particular, my website.
I'm torn between keeping this blog and making it more of my official website OR actually getting a website-website. What do you think? Is it more professional to have a website? I personally find websites boring because once they're set up, that's usually it. They rarely have "updates" unless they have a blog linked to it. With that being said, wouldn't it just be easier to keep this blog and update the look & functionality of it?
ALL feedback is appreciated, I value your opinion....you are my customers after all and without you there is no Cyball Photography :)
So yeah....please....your two cents worth.
And what's a post without a photo? Well it's not....
This is Mackenzie's Brook, this is the brook Kristen & I were married beside last summer. I took this when we were home last month for the Samms Wedding.

My Best Friend's Wedding....

....well I should say "one" of my best friends weddings...
Jen & Chris who've been friends with my husband & I almost for 9 years.
We went to Nfld for the weekend....which seems a little extreme, but when they're such good friends, and you have enough air miles, you make the decision and go :)
Here's a few photos...first the bride & groom themselves.
Taking advantage of an old broken lobster pot on the beach.
Jenny...basking in the sunlight
The blushing, no check that, giggling bride :)
The car for the day
The bridesmaids
The proud parents
Jen's maid of honour & sister helping her to get ready
The groomsmen
and in full colour
Who could forget the most important details of the day...the dress and the oh so cute shoes...brown to match the bridesmaid dresses.
Jen & Chris ....I wish you all the happiness life can bring. Here's to the both of you :)

Updates

A LOT of changes hopefully coming soon to Cyball Photography. I'm working on quite a few projects right now, all of which are taking up most of my spare time.
So if you see new things or different things that might not make sense it might be doing a trial run of something, wanted to give you a "heads up" just in case :)
And what's a post without a photo, introducing "Winston" who we met at our weekend at the cottage.
Stay tuned.....

Presentation Folders

It's the small things that make me 'oh so happy' some days.
Today it's my presentation folders that I give to my clients when they order their prints from their session.
And don't forget the "C" for Christa & Cyball :)
What do you think of the pink ribbon? Think it adds a bit of punch?

Announcement

I've been wondering how to break the news that my prices will be increasing in 2009. In an effort to be more 'professional' yet competitive with the market I feel this is the next & appropriate step for me to take in my career now that I've established a portfolio.
To be fair to my clients I'm giving you the opportunity to book me for the remainder of 2008 at my current pricing, thus the early announcement of changes to come. I'm hoping there will be more, this is the first.
If you're questioning me and my motivation, I read a blog post today from Stylized Portraiture about custom photography and why you pay more with someone like myself rather than a "Walmart" for example, I will forewarn that the read is a bit long but well worth it:

Photos On Display

In case you're wondering what my framed Nfld series photo's might look like on your walls, here's a couple of examples.

They would even make a nice gift (especially for people living "away" from home)....hint, hint

N Newborn Session - Sneak Peek

My first newborn session, and little 15 day old "N" decided he wasn't a mellow sleepy newborn. He likes to look around and move about, especially with those cute little arms & legs.
He made it a challenge but I'm very pleased with the results :)
Aren't baby feet & toes so cute?

No he wasn't asleep here...just chillin'
Proud Momma & Pappa...she looks great doesn't she?

I'll soon have your proof package completed, then we'll be in touch.
It was a pleasure, as always!
